What size will my logo be on my apparel?
This article will address the size of the logo on apparel items, such as shirts, polos, jackets, headwear and DTF printing.
Logo sizing depends on the product, your artwork proportions, and the decoration method. You’ll see a mockup preview during personalization that shows size and placement before you approve.
Standard Logo Sizing (Quick Reference)
-
Shirts / Polos / Jackets — Embroidery (Left Chest)
-
Typical finished width: ≈ 3" (often 3–3.5" depending on logo shape)
-
Sizing box we use: 3" wide × 2" high
-
Height limit: We cannot exceed 2" tall
-
Final size is adjusted for legibility and how the logo sews out (very tall logos are limited by the 2" height cap; very wide logos are sized to fit the 3" width box).
-
-
Headwear (Caps/Beanies) — Embroidery
-
Uses the same sizing area as apparel: 3" wide × 2" high with a 2" max height.
-
We scale within this box for clean stitching and readability.
-
-
T-Shirts — DTF Graphic Printing (Front Chest)
-
Available print area: 10" wide × 8" high
-
Your logo scales proportionally up to the max width or height, based on its aspect ratio.
-
Good to Know
-
The embroidery 3" × 2" box is our working area; it’s not a fixed size—we scale within it for best results.
-
Most left-chest/headwear logos look best around ~3" wide, but exact dimensions depend on how tall the artwork is (height can’t exceed 2").
-
Your Editor mockup reflects our standard template sizing for the selected product/placement.

Artwork Tips (for best results)
-
Vector files (PDF/AI/EPS) preferred; high-res PNG/JPG also work.
-
Avoid very fine lines or tiny text on embroidery—bold, clean artwork stitches best.
