My Order Has a Print Issue
If your printed order doesn’t look the way you expected, we’ll work with you to identify the cause and make it right.
At Markful, we take pride in delivering high-quality printed products. Occasionally, customers may experience a print issue such as color differences, image quality concerns, or unexpected results. No matter the cause, we want to work with you to fix it.
Common Print Issues We See
- Blurry or pixelated photos: This often happens when files are uploaded at a low resolution or small size.
- Dark or muted images: Uploaded files can print darker than they appear on backlit screens.
- Unexpected results from uploaded files: Files in RGB color mode, low DPI, or compressed image formats may not reproduce as expected in print.
- Brand color differences: Unless your brand is part of an existing Approved Supplied Program or paid Color-Mapping Engagement, we do not match a Pantone or brand guideline.
- Skin tones: Printed faces may appear too red, too dark, or slightly off compared to digital previews.
Troubleshooting Your Artwork
To help ensure the best results, we recommend reviewing your artwork before submitting:
- Resolution: Upload files at 300 dpi at full size for sharp, crisp output.
- Color mode: Save files in CMYK, not RGB, for accurate color printing.
- Image quality: Avoid screenshots, social media images, or low-resolution web graphics.
- File type: Preferred file formats include high-quality JPG, PNG, PDF, or vector files.
- PDFs (especially from Canva.com): When exporting from Canva or similar design tools, always save as a print-ready, flattened PDF. This prevents hidden layers, transparent elements, or font substitution from causing strange artifacts once printed.
If you’re not sure about your file, our team can help review it before printing.
How We’ll Make It Right
If your order arrives with a print issue, please contact us with:
- Your order number
- Photos of the printed product
- A brief description of the issue (e.g., colors too dark, blurry images, etc.)
Our team will review your order to determine whether the issue came from the input file, a production error, or another cause. From there, we’ll outline a resolution path, which may include:
- Reprinting with corrected artwork
- Adjusting color settings if possible
- Guidance on file preparation for future orders
Our Commitment
Whether the issue stems from file setup, production, or something in between, our goal is always the same: to ensure you get the quality product you expected. We’ll take the time to review, troubleshoot, and—most importantly—make it right.
