DTF (Direct to Film) Printing Process
QA on the DTF Printing process
“What is Markful’s advanced printing technology?”
We use Direct-to-Film (DTF) printing, a modern, full-color technology that delivers vibrant, high-resolution graphics with a soft, flexible feel. These prints resist cracking, peeling, or fading even after repeated washes.
“What is Direct-to-Film or DTF printing?”
Direct-to-Film, or DTF printing, is an advanced process where your design is printed onto a special transfer film in full color, then heat-pressed onto the shirt. The result? A sharp, long-lasting print that feels soft to the touch with no stiff, plasticky patches like older methods.
“How is DTF different from screen printing?”
DTF, or Direct-to-Film printing, handles full-color, complex designs with photo-like quality. Unlike screen printing, which applies one color at a time, DTF gives you multicolor impact and a softer, more flexible finish that holds up over time.
“How is DTF different from traditional heat transfers?”
Traditional heat transfers use vinyl or plastisol, which can feel thick and may crack or peel over time. DTF prints your design in full color onto a film, then uses heat to apply the design to the t-shirt resulting in a softer, more detailed and longer-lasting finish.
“Will I need to iron on the design myself?”
No, we handle that for you. We apply the graphic professionally to your t-shirts using a heat press process.
